If you’re looking for somewhere to take your boo thing this Valentine’s Day, or really any day, then you have come to the right place! Here are some best date places if…

You’re on a budget: Depending on the weather, because let’s face it, Texas has some crazy weather mood swings, a cute picnic outside would be the way to go if you’re trying to save a little cash. Old Settlers has a nice open area or covered area to eat, a pond to feed the ducks at, and a park to add to the scenery. Old Settlers is perfect in size, and although a simple date, it gives you a chance to spend some quality time with your bae.

Old Settlers Park | 3300 Palm Valley Blvd

You’ve got money and you’re not afraid to use it: Tokyo Steak House is perfect if you’re willing to spend your money. The food is always delicious, and the tables with grills offer dinner with a show! The chef prepares your food right in front of you, this makes for a fun evening, and less opportunity for an awkward silence. If the dinner date goes well, you can always stop right across the street for ice cream at Maggie Moo’s!

You want something simple: If you’re looking for a simple way to spend your date night, skating is totally easy, and cheap too! Playland costs $8 to get in the door with regular skates, and an additional $3 for roller blades. Now this may seem like a scary date if you’re clumsy, but it actually makes for a good time because your partner can keep you close so you won’t fall. If yall are hungry, there’s a cafeteria with delicious pizza!

Playland Skate Center | 8822 McCann Dr, Austin, TX 78757

You can’t drive: Of course you can always have a movie or dinner date at your house, or you can catch a ride via Uber/lyft to the train! Check the schedule for the day of your date to see the times and places the train will go! Usually the most fun is when the train takes you downtown. From there anything is possible, ya’ll can walk around and find some food trucks, or even shops, then take the train back!

Leander Capital Metro Train Station | US-183, Leander, TX 78641

You’re the romantic type: If you are into the cheesy but cute romantic dates, the Oasis is one of your best choices! At the Oasis you are able to sit at an inside or outside table, and the view is perfect from either choice. The food tastes wonderful, and the whole staff is very friendly. If you go at dinner time you get to eat while the sun sets, which sets a perfect vibe for a perfect date. The Oasis is very popular and doesn’t take reservations, so be prepared to have to walk around for a bit until your wonderful table is ready!
