STUCO shows appreciation on Valentine’s Day

Cedar Ridge student council’s latest project was finished on Feb 13, just in time for Valentine’s Day. The project consisted of thousands of students names on cut-out hearts in the cafeteria.
Senior Eliza Jipp is CR’s student body president. She helped to plan out this project.
“So this project was actually a project that we got from a state convention that we went to last year,” Jipp (12) said. “It is every single kid’s name typed up and printed on a heart and hand cut by student council members, and put up on posters for Valentine’s Day.”
The project began in early February. It took lots of preparation and several FLEX time sessions to complete.
“We had to come in during FLEX to type up and cut out the hearts, but it was worth it to see it all come together,” Jipp (12) said.
The hearts were put up after school on Feb 13, containing all 2,713 student names and are up for display in the cafeteria for all students to find their names and admire.
